Possible Causes
Failed rinse pump motor, Blocked rinse line or injector, Empty or blocked rinse aid container, Faulty wiring or control output to rinse pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close water supply. Rinse lines may be under pressure after use.
- Check rinse aid level: Ensure the rinse aid container is filled and the suction tube is fully submerged. Clean the suction filter if fitted.
- Inspect rinse pump: Locate the small rinse pump (often mounted near the boiler or side panel). Check for leaks, cracked housing, or loose electrical connectors.
- Check rinse injector and line: Follow the small‑bore hose from the rinse pump to the rinse injector/nozzle in the boiler or rinse manifold. Remove and clean any scale or debris blocking the nozzle.
- Electrical test: With power isolated, measure the resistance of the rinse pump coil. An open circuit indicates a failed pump. Also check for continuity to earth.
- Control output check: If the pump tests good, verify that it receives voltage during the rinse phase (this should only be done by a competent person with appropriate test equipment). Lack of voltage suggests a control PCB fault.
