Possible Causes
Door/hood not fully closed, Faulty start switch or keypad, Low water level preventing start, Active error condition not cleared
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing panels or accessing switches.
Step-by-step checks:
- Confirm door/hood closure: Ensure the door or hood is fully closed and latches securely. Check for bent hinges or obstructions.
- Check for active errors: Look at the display for any error codes. Clear them according to the manual before attempting to start.
- Verify water level: Open the tank and confirm proper fill level. If low, investigate fill issues (see E1/E10).
- Test start button: On mechanical models, test the start switch for continuity when pressed. On electronic keypads, inspect the ribbon cable and connections. Replace the faulty switch or keypad if it does not register.
When to call a technician: If all interlocks and switches test good, the control board’s start circuit may be faulty and should be evaluated by a technician.
