Possible Causes
Water leak from hoses or pump seals, Cracked tank or boiler fitting, Loose hose clamp, Activated float switch in base tray
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close water supply. Be prepared for water on the floor.
- Inspect base tray: Remove the front kick panel and check the base tray for water. If full, carefully sponge or vacuum out the water.
- Locate leak source: With the tray dry, briefly restore water and observe under the machine while it fills. Look for drips from hoses, pumps, valves, or tank seams.
- Tighten and repair: Tighten loose hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and inspect pump shaft seals. Replace any visibly damaged components.
- Check float switch: Ensure the anti-flood float moves freely and its microswitch is not stuck in the activated position.
- Test again: After repairs, ensure the base tray is completely dry, then run a test cycle while monitoring for leaks.
