How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from mains power before opening the control panel.
- Power reset: Leave the machine unplugged or isolated for at least 5 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and test.
- Inspect control compartment: Remove the front control panel cover. Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or detergent residue on the boards and connectors. Dry gently if damp.
- Check connectors: Reseat all ribbon cables and harness plugs between the display board and main PCB. Ensure locking tabs are engaged.
- Visual inspection: Look for burnt components or cracked solder joints on the boards. If present, the affected board should be replaced.
- Environmental check: Ensure steam is not venting directly into the control area due to missing gaskets or seals; replace seals if damaged.
If E9 persists after reseating connectors, replacement of the user interface or main control board is usually required.
