Possible Causes
Defective NTC temperature sensor,Wiring fault between NTC and control board,NTC dislodged from heater housing,Control board misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before accessing the base or heater area.
- 1. Confirm extended cycle: If programs run much longer than normal and dishes are lukewarm, the control may be struggling to detect correct temperature.
- 2. Locate NTC sensor: On Constructa models, the NTC is usually clipped into the heater housing or sump area. Access from below or side.
- 3. Check seating and wiring: Ensure the sensor is firmly clipped in place and its connector is secure. Look for damaged or pinched wires.
- 4. Basic sensor test (for experienced DIYers): With the sensor disconnected, measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare to service data if available; a completely open or shorted sensor is defective.
When to call a technician: If E10 persists after reseating the sensor and checking wiring, the NTC or control board should be replaced by a professional.
