Possible Causes

Foreign object in drain pump,Drain pump cover not fitted correctly,Broken impeller,Debris lodged in pump outlet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power. Water in the sump may be dirty; wear gloves.

  • 1. Access pump from inside: Remove filters and locate the small plastic cover over the drain pump inlet in the sump. Twist and remove this cover.
  • 2. Inspect impeller: Look and feel for glass, bones, or other objects around the impeller. Remove any debris carefully.
  • 3. Check impeller condition: Gently try to rotate the impeller. It should move with slight resistance. If it wobbles excessively or is broken, the pump must be replaced.
  • 4. Refit pump cover: Ensure the pump cover is correctly locked back into place; missing or misfitted covers can cause E25.
  • 5. Test drain: Reassemble filters and run a drain program to confirm proper operation.

When to call a technician: If the impeller is damaged or E25 persists, a new drain pump is required.
