Safety first: Disconnect power before testing switches or removing panels.

• Verify door closure: Ensure the door is closing firmly and latching. Listen for a distinct click when closing.
• Check for error indicators: Some models flash a light when the door is not latched. If so, focus on the latch and switch.
• Test door switch: Remove inner door panel to access the latch switch. With a multimeter, test continuity while operating the latch. Replace the latch assembly if the switch is faulty.
• Test Start button: If other buttons respond but Start does not, the UI panel may be defective. Inspect the ribbon cable and replace the panel if necessary.
• Control board check: If switches and UI are good, the main control board may not be processing the start command and could require replacement.
