Possible Causes
Failed diverter motor, Jammed diverter disc, Broken spray arm hub, Wiring issue to diverter assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working under the tub.
- Inspect spray arms: Remove upper and lower spray arms. Check for cracks, clogs in the jets, or broken mounting hubs. Clean thoroughly and replace if damaged.
- Check diverter mechanism: Access the sump area from below. Locate the diverter motor and disc assembly that directs water to different spray zones.
- Test diverter motor: Disconnect the motor and measure resistance across its terminals. An open circuit indicates failure. Also check for free movement of the diverter disc.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the harness to the diverter motor is intact and connectors are secure.
- Replace diverter assembly if faulty: Install a new diverter motor/disc assembly if the motor is open or the disc is jammed or worn.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall spray arms, restore power, and run a cycle to verify proper spray action and that E11 is cleared.
