Possible Causes
Partially clogged water inlet valve, Restricted fill hose, Faulty pressure or level sensor, Incorrect float height adjustment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply before working on the fill system.
- Check water level: Start a cycle and allow the dishwasher to fill. Then open the door (after pausing) and observe the water level. It should typically cover the filter area but not reach the door opening.
- Clean inlet valve screen: Remove the lower kick plate, shut off water, and disconnect the inlet hose. Clean the mesh screen in the valve with a soft brush to restore flow.
- Inspect fill hose: Ensure the hose is not kinked or crushed behind the dishwasher. Straighten or replace if damaged.
- Verify float operation: Make sure the float is not stuck in a partially raised position due to debris. Clean and ensure free movement.
- Check level/pressure sensor (if equipped): Some Crosley models use a pressure sensor connected by a small hose. Inspect the hose for clogs or kinks and clean the sensor port.
- Test again: Restore water and power, run a cycle, and confirm that the tub fills to the proper level and E8 does not reappear.
