Possible Causes
Clogged Dacor filter and sump, Blocked drain hose or air gap, Failed drain pump, Obstruction at garbage disposal inlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before working with water and electrical components.
- Clean filters: Remove and thoroughly clean the Dacor filter assembly. Ensure all mesh sections are clear.
- Check drain hose and air gap: Under the sink, inspect the hose for kinks. Remove the air gap cap and clean any debris. Detach the hose from the sink/disposal and flush it with water.
- Inspect disposal inlet: If a new disposal was installed, confirm the dishwasher knockout plug was removed. Clear any blockage at the inlet.
- Test drain pump: Start a drain cycle and listen. If the pump hums but does not move water, or is silent, access the Dacor drain pump, clear the impeller, and replace the pump if defective.
