Possible Causes
Tripped household breaker, Loose power connection at junction box, Failed Dacor main control board, Faulty door latch not allowing power to UI
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Before opening any panels, turn off the breaker and verify the dishwasher is de-energized.
- Check breaker and outlet: Confirm the kitchen circuit breaker is ON and not tripped. If the dishwasher is on a plug, test the outlet with another appliance.
- Inspect junction box: Remove the toe-kick panel and open the Dacor junction box cover. Verify wire nuts are tight and there are no burned wires.
- Test door latch: If the UI lights briefly then goes out when the door is moved, the latch switch may be intermittent. Inspect and replace the Dacor door latch assembly if needed.
- Check UI and control board: If power is present at the junction box but the control panel is dark, the main control or UI board may have failed. Visual inspection for burned components can help, but board replacement is often required.
