Dishwasher fills with water but does not wash; spray arms do not move and dishes remain dirty.

Safety first: Turn off power and water before accessing the bottom of the dishwasher.

• Listen for motor: After filling, the dishwasher should make a steady wash noise. A loud hum or silence indicates a pump issue.
• Check for obstructions: Remove the lower spray arm and filter, then inspect the sump for debris that could block the impeller.
• Access the circulation pump: From underneath, locate the Dacor wash motor. Check for leaks or signs of overheating.
• Test motor windings: Disconnect the motor and measure resistance. Replace the circulation pump assembly if open, shorted, or seized.
• Inspect capacitor (if present): Replace a bulged or leaking capacitor associated with the motor.
