Dishwasher makes loud grinding or rattling noises during wash or drain.

Safety first: Turn off power before reaching into the sump or accessing pumps.

• Check spray arms: Ensure spray arms spin freely and are not contacting tall dishes or racks. Remove any obstructions.
• Inspect sump for debris: Remove filters and look for bones, glass, or utensils in the sump area. Remove carefully.
• Access pumps: From underneath, remove the Dacor drain pump and circulation pump covers to inspect impellers. Clear any foreign objects.
• Replace noisy pump: If the noise persists and the pump bearings are rough or loose, replace the affected pump assembly.
