Dacor
Start Inhibit / Door or Control Lock Issue
Dishwasher powers on but will not start a cycle; pressing Start does nothing or only beeps.

Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Faulty Dacor door latch switch, Control lock (child lock) enabled, Failed Start button on UI board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the door closed; this can damage the latch.
- Verify door closure: Ensure racks are fully pushed in and no tall items are blocking the door. Close firmly until you hear the latch click.
- Check for control lock: Many Dacor dishwashers have a control lock feature. Look for a lock icon on the display and hold the designated key combination (often 3–5 seconds) to unlock.
- Try a different cycle: Select another cycle and press Start to rule out a specific program glitch.
- Inspect door latch: If the unit beeps and shows a door-related message, the latch switch may not be closing. Replace the Dacor door latch assembly if worn or broken.
- UI button test: If only the Start button is unresponsive while others work, the UI board may be failing and require replacement.
