Possible Causes
Water not heating properly, Faulty NTC sensor, Low incoming water temperature, Soil sensor misreading load
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing heater or sensors.
- Check water temperature: Ensure hot water at the sink reaches at least 120°F (49°C) before starting the dishwasher.
- Verify heating: During the wash, open the door briefly (with caution) and feel the water. If it is not warm, test the Dacor heating element and high-limit thermostat.
- Inspect NTC sensor: Replace the temperature sensor if it reads incorrectly and causes the control to extend heating time.
- Run a cleaning cycle: A dirty soil sensor can misread load. Use a dishwasher cleaner to remove film and improve sensor accuracy.
