Possible Causes
Shorted Dacor heating element, Shorted circulation or drain pump, Damaged wiring harness, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker; this is a fire hazard. Disconnect power and investigate.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the toe-kick and side panels to look for pinched or burned wires, especially where the harness passes through metal openings.
- Test heater and motors: With a multimeter, check resistance of the heating element, circulation pump, and drain pump. A very low resistance or direct short to ground indicates a failed component.
- Isolate the fault: Disconnect suspected components one at a time and test operation (with caution) to identify which part causes the breaker to trip.
- Replace faulty component: Install a new Dacor heater, pump, or harness as needed. If no component is shorted, the main control board may be defective.
