Possible Causes
Failed flow meter in inlet assembly, Blocked or pinched pressure hose, Faulty water level sensor, Loose wiring between sensor and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and shut off water before accessing internal components.
- Observe fill behavior: Start a cycle and watch the initial fill. If the dishwasher fills briefly then drains or repeatedly tries to fill, suspect a sensor or flow meter issue.
- Inspect the pressure hose: Access the side or bottom of the tub and locate the small hose running from the tub or sump to the level sensor. Ensure it is not kinked, cracked, or blocked with debris. Clean or replace as needed.
- Check the flow meter (if present): Many Dacor dishwashers integrate a flow meter in the inlet valve assembly. Remove the inlet assembly and inspect the small turbine wheel for scale or debris. Clean gently and ensure it spins freely.
- Verify wiring connections: Confirm all connectors between the sensor/flow meter and the main control board are fully seated and free of corrosion.
- Replace faulty sensor: If the hose and flow meter are clear but E6 persists, replace the Dacor water level sensor or inlet assembly as specified for your model.
