Wash Performance Degradation
Dishes remain dirty; poor cleaning performance despite completing cycle
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Clogged spray arms, Dirty filters, Low water temperature due to heater issue, Incorrect detergent or loading, Faulty turbidity sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the dishwasher to cool before cleaning internal parts.
- Clean filters and spray arms: Remove and clean all filters and spray arms thoroughly as described earlier.
- Check water temperature: Open the door mid-cycle (carefully) to confirm water is hot. If lukewarm, investigate heater and NTC as in E3/E9.
- Use correct detergent: Use high-quality dishwasher detergent and ensure rinse aid and salt levels are correct for your water hardness.
- Load correctly: Avoid nesting dishes and blocking spray arms. Ensure water can reach all surfaces.
- Run cleaning cycle: Use a dishwasher cleaner to remove internal grease and limescale. If performance remains poor, the turbidity sensor or circulation pump may need replacement.
