Dishwasher does not drain completely; small pool of water remains after cycle

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before working on the drain system.

• Clean filters and sump: Remove filters and check for debris around the drain pump inlet.
• Inspect drain hose: Detach from sink trap and flush with hot water. Ensure there are no kinks and that the hose rises to the correct height.
• Check check valve: Access the drain pump and locate the non-return valve (often a rubber flap). Clean it and ensure it moves freely.
• Test drain function: Run a drain-only or cancel program to verify that water is fully pumped out.
