Dishwasher fills and hums but spray arms do not rotate; dishes come out dirty

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the machine to cool before reaching inside.

• Clean filters: Remove and thoroughly clean all sump filters under running water.
• Clean spray arms: Remove upper and lower spray arms. Rinse and use a toothpick to clear each jet hole. Ensure the arms spin freely when reinstalled.
• Check for obstructions: Inspect the sump area for foreign objects that could restrict flow to the pump.
• Run a hot cleaning cycle: Run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or white vinegar to dissolve grease and limescale in internal channels.
• Assess pump performance: If pressure remains weak, the circulation pump impeller may be worn or damaged and the pump assembly should be replaced.
