Possible Causes
Failed drying fan motor, Blocked vent duct, Faulty vent flap actuator, Control board output failure to fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before removing the door panel or top cover.
- Check drying performance: Confirm that dishes are consistently wet and that you do not hear the fan running during the drying phase.
- Access the fan: On many De Dietrich dishwashers, the drying fan is located in the door or at the top of the cabinet. Remove the inner door panel or top cover to access it.
- Inspect for blockage: Check the vent duct for lint, plastic wrap, or mineral buildup. Clean thoroughly to restore airflow.
- Test fan motor: Disconnect the fan and measure coil resistance. If open-circuit, replace the fan assembly. You can also briefly power the fan with a suitable low-voltage test supply if specified by the service manual.
- Check wiring and actuator: Ensure the vent flap actuator (if fitted) moves freely and that wiring from the control board to the fan is intact. If the fan and wiring are good but E10 remains, the control board may require replacement.
