Possible Causes
Leak from hose connection, Leak from sump gasket, Cracked heat exchanger or side matrix, Overfoaming causing overflow into base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap immediately.
- Check for foam: If you recently used regular dish soap or too much detergent, excessive foam may have overflowed into the base. Run a rinse cycle without detergent after resolving the leak and drying the base.
- Drain and dry base: Pull the dishwasher out and tilt it carefully to allow water to drain from the base tray. Remove the bottom cover and dry all water with towels.
- Inspect float switch: Verify that the float switch in the base moves freely and is not stuck in the raised position. Clean any residue around it.
- Locate leak source: With panels removed, run a brief fill cycle while observing with a flashlight. Identify any drips from hoses, sump, or side matrix. Tighten clamps or replace leaking components.
- Reassemble and test: Once the leak is fixed and the base is dry, reassemble and run a full cycle to confirm that E15 does not reappear.
