Possible Causes
Excessive mains water pressure, Faulty flow meter reading too low, Sticking inlet valve, Blocked pressure chamber
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap.
- Check water pressure: If you suspect very high mains pressure, install a pressure reducer on the supply line or partially close the tap to reduce flow.
- Inspect flow meter and pressure system: Clean the side water matrix and pressure chamber as described for E14 and E2 to ensure accurate level and flow measurement.
- Test inlet valve: Verify that the inlet valve closes promptly when power is removed. If it dribbles or continues to flow, replace the valve.
- Reset and test: After adjustments, run a test cycle. Persistent E17 may indicate a control board calibration issue requiring professional service.
