Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or air trap, Clogged pressure switch hose, Defective pressure switch, Faulty control board water level circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap before opening any panels.

  • Access the pressure system: Remove the left or right side panel (depending on model) to locate the pressure chamber and thin rubber hose leading to the pressure switch.
  • Clean air trap and hose: Detach the small hose and blow through it; it should be clear. If blocked, flush it with warm water. Remove the pressure chamber from the side of the tub and clean out grease, food residue, and limescale.
  • Inspect pressure switch: Check for corrosion on the electrical terminals. Gently blow into the switch port; you should hear distinct clicks. If no click or if continuity does not change when tested with a multimeter, the switch is faulty.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit the hose securely (no cracks or loose fit), reinstall the side panel, and run a test cycle. If E2 persists, the electronic control board may not be reading the signal correctly and may require professional diagnosis or replacement.
