Possible Causes
Leak from circulation pump seal, Leak from inlet hose or Aquastop, Cracked sump or tub, Loose hose clamp inside base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap immediately. Do not continue running the machine until the leak is found.
- Check for water in base: Carefully pull the dishwasher out and tilt it slightly backward and then forward over towels. If water runs out from the base, the anti-flood float switch has been triggered.
- Dry the base: Remove the bottom cover (if fitted) and use towels or a sponge to dry all water from the base tray. Allow the area to air dry fully.
- Inspect for leak source: With the side panels removed, visually inspect the circulation pump, sump gasket, internal hoses, and the inlet valve area. Look for mineral tracks, rust, or fresh drips.
- Tighten or replace components: Tighten any loose hose clamps. If the circulation pump seal is leaking, the pump assembly should be replaced. Cracked hoses or a damaged sump must be replaced before reuse.
- Test carefully: Run a short cycle with panels still off and a flashlight ready. Watch for any new leaks. If none appear and E4 clears, reassemble. Persistent leaks or cracks in the tub usually require professional service.
