Possible Causes

Partially blocked water inlet filter, Faulty flow meter, Sticking water inlet valve, Incorrect installation height of drain hose causing siphoning

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap before disconnecting hoses.

  • Clean inlet filters: Remove the inlet hose from the tap and from the machine (if accessible). Clean all mesh filters thoroughly to restore full flow.
  • Check water pressure: Confirm that household water pressure is adequate. Low pressure can cause underfilling and E8.
  • Verify drain hose installation: Ensure the drain hose rises to the recommended height (usually 40–100 cm above floor) before connecting to the sink trap. A hose that is too low can cause siphoning and low water level.
  • Inspect flow meter: On models with a side water matrix, locate the flow meter (small device with wires on the water path). Check for blockages and ensure the impeller spins freely. Replace if the control does not register pulses.
  • Test fill: Reassemble and run a test cycle. If E8 persists, the inlet valve may not be opening fully and should be replaced.
