Possible Causes
Faulty touchpad or button PCB, Moisture ingress into control panel, Broken ribbon cable between UI and main board, Stuck or worn Start button
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before removing the door panel.
- Reset control: Disconnect power for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again to rule out a software lockup.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the inner door liner to access the Fagor user interface board. Check for moisture, corrosion, or cracked solder joints.
- Ribbon cable: Ensure the ribbon cable between the UI and main PCB is firmly seated and not damaged.
- Button test: Press each button and feel for a positive click. If the Start button feels mushy or does not register, replace the UI keypad or control panel assembly.
