Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or air trap, Faulty pressure switch or analog pressure sensor, Clogged sump causing incorrect level reading, Wiring issue between pressure sensor and control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before removing any panels.

  • Clean sump and filters: Remove and clean all filters. Check the sump area for grease and debris that could block the pressure chamber inlet.
  • Locate pressure chamber: On many Fagor dishwashers, the pressure chamber/air trap is mounted on the side of the tub or integrated into the sump. Remove the side panel to access it.
  • Clear blockages: Detach the small hose from the pressure switch and blow gently through it to clear any blockage. Rinse the chamber with hot water to dissolve grease.
  • Inspect pressure switch: Check for signs of moisture inside the switch or corrosion on the terminals. Replace the Fagor pressure switch or analog sensor if damaged.
  • Test run: Reassemble, restore power, and run a rinse cycle. If F4 persists, the sensor or control board may require professional diagnosis.
