Possible Causes
Dirty or scaled turbidity sensor window, Faulty turbidity sensor in sump, Wiring harness issue between sensor and control board, Control board misreading sensor values
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the sump or underside of the dishwasher.
- Clean sump area: Remove filters and thoroughly clean the sump with hot water and a soft brush to remove grease and detergent residue.
- Locate turbidity sensor: On many Fagor models, the turbidity sensor is mounted on the side of the sump or base, protruding into the water path.
- Clean sensor lens: Gently wipe the sensor lens with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Do not scratch the plastic window.
- Check connections: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly seated and that there are no corroded or broken wires.
- Test cycle: Reassemble and run a rinse cycle. If F6 returns, the turbidity sensor or main PCB may need replacement.
