Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose or corroded NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness to NTC, Control board input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and allow it to cool completely before working near the heater or sump.
- Access NTC: Remove the lower kick plate and, if necessary, side panel to locate the NTC sensor in the sump or heater housing on the Fagor unit.
- Inspect connector: Check for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins at the NTC plug. Clean and reseat the connector.
- Measure resistance: With a multimeter, measure the NTC resistance at room temperature. Compare with Fagor service data (typically in the tens of kΩ). A reading of 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a failed sensor.
- Replace if faulty: If readings are out of range, replace the Fagor NTC temperature sensor. Ensure the sealing grommet is properly seated to prevent leaks.
- Control board: If a known-good NTC still triggers F7, the main PCB may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
