Possible Causes
Loose hose clamp on circulation or drain hose, Cracked sump or pump housing, Perished O-rings on heater or pump, Over-foaming from incorrect detergent
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap immediately. Avoid standing in water while working on the appliance.
- 1. Pull out the dishwasher: Carefully slide the unit out to inspect the sides and base.
- 2. Check for foam: If there is excessive foam inside the tub, you may have used hand-washing liquid or too much detergent. Run a rinse cycle with no detergent to clear foam.
- 3. Inspect hoses and clamps: Remove the base cover and check all hoses connected to the sump, circulation pump, drain pump, and inlet valve. Tighten any loose clamps.
- 4. Look for cracks: Examine the plastic sump, pump housings, and heater body for hairline cracks or obvious leaks during a test fill.
- 5. Replace faulty parts: Replace any cracked components or seals. Ensure all joints are properly seated.
- 6. Professional service: If the tub or base is cracked, or if the leak source is not obvious, contact a technician.
