Possible Causes
Misaligned door latch, Broken door lock mechanism, Faulty door switch microswitch, Loose wiring to door lock
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the door panel or latch components.
- 1. Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and evenly. If you must push hard or lift the door to latch, the latch or hinges may be misaligned.
- 2. Inspect latch strike: Examine the metal or plastic strike on the tub frame. Tighten any loose screws and ensure it lines up with the door lock.
- 3. Access door lock: Remove the inner door panel screws and carefully separate the inner and outer door skins. Locate the door lock assembly at the top.
- 4. Check microswitch and wiring: Inspect the lock body for cracks or broken plastic. Check that the microswitch actuator moves freely when the latch is engaged. Ensure the wiring connector is secure.
- 5. Replacement: If the lock is physically damaged or the switch does not click reliably, replace the door lock assembly with a compatible Finlux part.
- 6. Test: Reassemble the door, restore power, and start a cycle. If E10 persists, the control board input may be faulty and requires professional diagnosis.
