Possible Causes
Defective flow meter reed switch, Broken wiring from flow meter to PCB, Debris in flow meter wheel, Faulty control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water supply before removing the inlet assembly.
- 1. Identify flow meter: The flow meter is often integrated into the side water tank or inlet assembly on Finlux dishwashers.
- 2. Check for debris: Remove the side panel and inspect the transparent channels. Look for foreign objects or heavy limescale that could prevent the flow wheel from turning.
- 3. Wiring inspection: Follow the small two-wire harness from the flow meter to the control board. Ensure there are no cuts, pinches, or loose connectors.
- 4. Clean and reassemble: If possible, flush the flow meter with warm water to free the wheel. Reassemble and test.
- 5. Replacement: If E14 persists and water flow is normal, replace the flow meter or the entire side tank assembly.
- 6. Professional help: If wiring and flow meter are good, the PCB may be at fault and should be diagnosed by a technician.
