Possible Causes

Persistent water leak into base tray, Stuck base float switch, Cracked sump or tub, Loose hose or pump seal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap immediately. Do not continue using the dishwasher until the leak is resolved.

  • 1. Pull out the dishwasher: Carefully slide the unit out of the cabinet to inspect the sides and base.
  • 2. Check base tray: Remove the base cover if present. If water is present, sponge it out completely and dry the area.
  • 3. Inspect float switch: Ensure the float moves freely and the micro-switch is not stuck in the activated position. Clean away any residue.
  • 4. Identify leak source: Run a short fill cycle while observing the base (use a torch). Look for drips from the sump gasket, circulation pump, drain pump, hoses, or door seal.
  • 5. Tighten and reseal: Tighten hose clamps, replace perished O-rings, or reseat the sump seal as needed. Replace any cracked components.
  • 6. Test again: Once repairs are made and the base is dry, run a full cycle while monitoring for leaks.
  • 7. Technician involvement: If the stainless tub or plastic base is cracked, or if the leak source cannot be located, contact a professional.
