Possible Causes
Open-circuit Aquastop coil, Shorted inlet valve, Damaged wiring harness to valve, Faulty control board driver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water before working on the inlet system.
- 1. Inspect Aquastop hose: Check the external Aquastop housing at the tap end for damage or burn marks. If the safety indicator has tripped (if present), the hose must be replaced.
- 2. Check wiring: Remove the lower front panel and locate the inlet valve connection. Ensure the connector is firmly attached and wires are not cut or pinched.
- 3. Visual inspection: Look for signs of overheating or melting on the valve body.
- 4. Replacement: If the valve coil is suspected open or shorted (no fill and E16), replace the Aquastop inlet hose and valve assembly.
- 5. Test: Restore water and power, then run a quick program to confirm normal filling.
- 6. Technician note: If a new valve does not resolve E16, the main PCB output may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
