Possible Causes
Failed flow-through heater, Faulty NTC temperature sensor, Burnt heater relay on main control board, Loose wiring in heater circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels. Water and electricity together are dangerous.
- 1. Confirm symptom: During a wash cycle, open the door briefly after 15–20 minutes (pause the cycle). If the water is cold and E2 appears later, the heater circuit is suspect.
- 2. Access base area: Remove the lower front kick plate. On many Finlux dishwashers, the flow-through heater is mounted in the circulation pump assembly at the base.
- 3. Check wiring: Inspect the heater terminals and wiring harness for signs of burning, melting, or loose connectors. Reseat any loose plugs.
- 4. Visual check of control board: If accessible from the front or side, inspect the main PCB for a burnt heater relay or darkened areas. Do not touch components with power connected.
- 5. Replacement: If the heater body is cracked, leaking, or shows burn marks, replace the heater/pump assembly. If the heater looks intact but E2 persists, the NTC sensor or control board may need professional diagnosis.
- 6. Call a technician: Because the heater circuit is high-current, replacement of the heater, NTC, or PCB is best done by a qualified technician with proper test equipment.
