Possible Causes
Partially blocked inlet valve, Faulty flow meter in water softener or side tank, Clogged water softener inlet, Low household water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before removing hoses.
- 1. Check water pressure: Ensure household water pressure is adequate by opening a nearby tap. If pressure is low, resolve plumbing issues first.
- 2. Clean inlet filters: Turn off the water tap, disconnect the Aquastop hose, and clean the mesh filter. Reconnect firmly.
- 3. Inspect side water tank/softener: On models with a transparent side tank, remove the side panel and check for heavy limescale or sludge restricting flow. Rinse the tank and channels if removable.
- 4. Regenerate softener: Ensure dishwasher salt is filled in the softener compartment and run a hot program to help clear minor blockages.
- 5. Flow meter check: The flow meter is often integrated into the side tank or inlet assembly. If E8 persists despite good pressure and clean filters, the flow meter may be defective and require replacement.
- 6. Technician recommendation: Replacement of the flow meter or side tank assembly is best handled by a service technician.
