Possible Causes
Failed circulation pump motor, Jammed pump impeller, Faulty motor capacitor (if fitted), Wiring fault to circulation pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and water.
- Listen for motor: After filling, the unit should start the wash motor. A humming sound with no water movement suggests a jammed motor; silence suggests no power.
- Check for obstructions: Remove racks and spray arms. Clean the filter plate and sump thoroughly, removing any debris that could block the pump.
- Inspect pump: From underneath, locate the circulation pump. Check for signs of leakage or overheating.
If the pump is seized or not receiving power, replacement of the circulation pump assembly is usually required.
