Possible Causes
Failed heater element, Faulty temperature sensor, Heater relay failure on control board, Loose heater wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before electrical checks.
- Check hot water supply: Ensure the dishwasher is connected to a hot water line and that the water is at least 120°F (49°C).
- Inspect heater wiring: Access the underside and check the heater element connections for burning or looseness.
- Test heater: With a multimeter (if qualified), measure heater resistance. An open reading indicates a failed heater.
If the heater is open or wiring is damaged, replace the heater element. If heater and sensor test good, the control board may be faulty.
