Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Damaged sensor wiring, Sensor not seated in sump, Control board sensor circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before inspection.
- Check wiring: Access the sump area from underneath and locate the NTC temperature sensor. Inspect its connector and wiring for damage.
- Test sensor: With a multimeter (if qualified), measure sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to specifications. An open or short indicates failure.
If the sensor is faulty, replace the NTC temperature sensor. If it tests good, the control board may be defective.
