Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the wall and turn off the water supply before working on the dishwasher.
This fault means the flood switch in the base pan has detected water.
- Check for obvious leaks: Pull the DishDrawer or dishwasher out slightly (if built-in, remove the kick panel). Use a flashlight to inspect the base pan for standing water.
- Dry the base pan: Carefully soak up water with towels or a sponge. You can use a fan or gentle warm air to dry the area completely. Do not use open flames or excessive heat.
- Inspect hoses and clamps: Check the inlet hose, drain hose, and internal recirculation hoses for splits, loose clamps, or drips. Tighten clamps and replace any cracked hoses.
- Check detergent use: Over-foaming can cause water to spill into the base. Ensure you are using a dishwasher-rated detergent and not dish soap. Reduce detergent quantity if you have soft water.
- Reassemble and test: Once dry and any leaks are corrected, restore power and water, then run a short cycle while observing for leaks.
If F1 returns quickly or you see no visible leaks, the flood switch assembly or wiring may be faulty and should be tested and replaced by a qualified technician.
