Possible Causes
Blocked softener valve, Low or incorrect salt, Faulty softener control valve, Softener sensor failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water before servicing.
- Check salt level: Open the salt reservoir cap and ensure it is filled with the correct dishwasher salt (not table salt). Top up if low.
- Clean around cap: Wipe away any salt residue around the cap and ensure it seals properly.
- Run a regeneration cycle: If your model allows, manually start a softener regeneration cycle as per the user manual.
If F13 persists, the softener valve or softener sensor may be faulty and require replacement.
