Possible Causes
Open-circuit heater plate, Faulty heater relay on control board, Burnt wiring to heater, Temperature sensor misreading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before any electrical testing.
- Check for hot water: Confirm that the dishwasher is supplied with hot water (not cold only). Very cold supply can prolong heating and trigger errors.
- Inspect wiring: Access the underside and locate the heater plate or heating element. Check for burnt connectors or damaged wires.
- Test heater resistance: Using a multimeter (if qualified), measure the resistance of the heater. An open circuit indicates a failed heater.
If the heater is open or wiring is burnt, replace the heater plate / heating element. If the heater tests good, the control board heater relay may be defective.
