Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Applies mainly to Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer models.
Safety first: Disconnect power before servicing.
- Check drawer alignment: Ensure the DishDrawer is fully closed and not obstructed by dishes or cutlery. Overloaded or tall items can prevent the lid from sealing.
- Inspect lid seal: Open the drawer and inspect the lid seal around the top of the cavity. Look for tears, deformation, or debris preventing proper sealing. Clean with a damp cloth.
- Check lid actuator movement: With the drawer open, gently press the sides of the lid seal to feel if the lid actuators move freely. If they feel stuck or uneven, they may be failing.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 5 minutes, then restore and try a cycle. Sometimes the lid actuators can re-home.
If F5 persists and the drawer is not visibly obstructed, the lid actuator assembly or lid position sensor likely needs replacement, which usually requires a trained technician.
