Possible Causes
Faulty motor hall sensor, Damaged wash motor rotor magnets, Wiring harness fault to motor, Defective motor controller on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore and try a short cycle. If F7 returns, continue.
- Inspect motor connections: Access the underside of the unit and locate the wash motor. Check the wiring harness and connectors for corrosion, loose pins, or damage.
- Check rotor condition: If accessible, remove the wash motor rotor and inspect the magnets for cracks or separation. Replace if damaged.
- Test hall sensor: Using service documentation and a multimeter (if qualified), test the hall sensor output. An open or shorted sensor indicates replacement is needed.
Most F7 faults require replacement of the wash motor assembly or the main control board. This is typically a technician-level repair.
