Possible Causes

Hard water with no rinse aid, Too much detergent, Low water temperature, Clogged spray arms

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No internal electrical work is required for this issue.

  • Use rinse aid: Ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled and set to a higher dosage.
  • Adjust detergent: Reduce the amount of detergent, especially in soft water areas.
  • Increase water temperature: Set your water heater to about 120°F (49°C) and run hot water at the sink before starting the dishwasher.
  • Clean spray arms: Remove and clean spray arms to ensure proper rinsing.

For existing film, run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar placed on the top rack.
