Possible Causes
Failed circulation pump, Jammed pump impeller, Blocked sump inlet, Faulty main control not powering pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power and water before accessing the pump and sump.
- 1. Verify fill: Start a cycle and open the door after a few minutes to confirm there is water in the bottom.
- 2. Listen for motor: If you do not hear the wash motor running, suspect the circulation pump.
- 3. Clean filter and sump: Remove the lower rack, spray arm, and filter. Clean thoroughly and inspect the sump inlet for debris.
- 4. Inspect circulation pump: From underneath, access the pump. Check for obstructions and test the motor. Replace the Frigidaire circulation pump if seized or electrically open.
If the pump is good but not receiving power, the main control board may need replacement.
