Possible Causes
Door not fully closed or misaligned, Faulty door latch switch, Control lock enabled, Failed Start button on user interface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power before removing door panels.
- 1. Confirm door closure: Close the door firmly until you hear a solid click. Check for dishes or racks preventing full closure.
- 2. Disable control lock: Look for a lock icon on the display. Hold the designated button for 3–5 seconds to unlock.
- 3. Test door latch switch: With power off, remove the inner door panel and test the latch switch for continuity when the latch is engaged. Replace the Frigidaire latch assembly if faulty.
- 4. Check Start button: If other buttons respond but Start does not, the user interface board may be defective and require replacement.
If the unit still will not start after these checks, the main control board may be at fault.
