Possible Causes
Restricted water supply to dishwasher, Clogged or kinked water inlet hose, Failed water inlet valve, Faulty water level pressure sensor or air trap blockage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker and turn off the water supply before working on the dishwasher.
- 1. Verify household water supply: Ensure the shutoff valve (usually under the sink) feeding the dishwasher is fully open. Check that other faucets have normal pressure.
- 2. Inspect inlet hose: Pull the dishwasher out slightly if needed. Check the braided or plastic inlet hose for kinks, crushing, or sharp bends. Straighten or replace if damaged.
- 3. Clean inlet screen: Turn off water, disconnect the inlet hose from the dishwasher’s water inlet valve. Inspect and gently clean the small metal or plastic screen inside the valve using a soft brush; do not puncture the screen.
- 4. Check for low fill: Restore power and water, run a quick cycle, and open the door after 2–3 minutes. Water should cover the bottom sump area by at least ~1/4–1/2 inch. If low, suspect the inlet valve.
- 5. Inspect pressure sensor/air trap (models with turbidity/pressure sensor): Remove the lower access panel, locate the pressure hose from the sump to the sensor. Ensure the hose is not clogged or split. Clean any debris from the air trap on the side of the tub.
- 6. Replace water inlet valve if needed: If voltage is present at the valve during fill but water flow is weak, replace the Frigidaire water inlet valve assembly.
If the i10 error persists after these checks, contact a qualified technician to test the control board and sensor circuits.
