Dishwasher stops mid-cycle or will not start and displays i20; water may remain in the bottom of the tub.

Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker and shut off water before servicing. Expect sharp edges inside the kick panel area.

• 1. Check sink and disposal: Run water in the sink and ensure the sink drains freely. If the dishwasher is connected to a garbage disposal, verify the knockout plug was removed and the inlet is not clogged.
• 2. Inspect air gap (if installed): Remove the air gap cap on the sink deck and clean any food debris or grease blocking the air gap.
• 3. Clean filter and sump: Open the dishwasher, remove the lower rack, and take out the bottom filter assembly. Rinse thoroughly. Inspect the sump area for glass, seeds, or food blocking the drain inlet.
• 4. Check drain hose: Access the drain hose under the sink and at the back of the dishwasher. Ensure it is not kinked and that the high loop is present. Disconnect the hose from the sink/disposal and flush it with hot water to clear clogs.
• 5. Test drain pump: Remove the lower access panel, locate the drain pump on the sump. Check for obstructions in the impeller. If the pump hums but does not move water, or is silent with proper voltage, replace the drain pump.

If i20 returns after cleaning and hose checks, a technician should inspect the pressure sensor and control board for calibration issues.
